The new 10,000 square meters came officialy in use in the town of Humenne, where TYTEX GROUP has had production facilities since 2000. The new facilities shall be utilised for production of medical textiles within all TYTEX GROUP’s Strategic Business Units and the total concern areal is now up to about 35,000 square meters.

Humenne lies in the north eastern part of Slovakia, about 30 kilometers from borders with Ukraine and Poland respectively.

Expansion in Slovakia will ensure TYTEX GROUP the necessary physical frame primarily for production of SAFEHIP® The Hip Protector, compression garments and wound care products.

These products are characterised for growth, same technological platform and sewing process involved in completion. The partner company which take part in production are either based in Europe or in North America.

Humenne was chosen in 2000 for its long tradition in textile production.  Textile products from the area distinguishes themselves with professional pride and experience. This resemblance to Ikast plays an important role in both relations to the workers and the authorities.

About 50 percent of the total areal in the new building will be rented out to sister company in Thygesen Textile Group, Müller Textil GmbH.
